Chapters is a membership for children aged 1 to 5. It includes a solid-wood table and chair at your child’s height, which are yours to keep, with the next size sent as they grow. Every 3 months you also receive a new box of wooden toys made by Edu Fun, with a guide to what each toy teaches.

Furniture Sized to Your Child
Children sit well when their feet are flat on the floor and their elbows rest on the table. Between 1 and 5, that takes four sizes. So as they grow, we send the next chair and the next height of table legs, delivered free, and you keep the old ones.

We size by height, not birthday: the next size at about 80, 93 and 108 cm tall. Tell us their height when you join, or when the chair starts to look small.
What Arrives and When
Chapters has sixteen chapters, four in each year: Year One (age 1 to 2), Year Two (age 2 to 3), Year Three (age 3 to 4) and Year Four (age 4 to 5). A new chapter box arrives every 3 months on the 1st of the month, and each one is chosen for what children are learning at that age. The furniture changes size three times along the way. Below is exactly what arrives and when, followed by every chapter and the toys in its box.
The bilingual Arabic line is for children from age 3. It has four chapters, one every 3 months, that teach Arabic letters, numbers and first words through play. It costs $99 every 3 months on top of their Chapters membership, and each Arabic chapter arrives in the same box, on the same day, as their Chapters box. The $99 charge stops automatically after Arabic Chapter 4.
Day One: Your First Delivery
Your first delivery arrives on the 1st of the month after you join. It contains three things: the solid-wood table and chair at your child’s height, the chapter box of wooden toys for their age, and the printed play guide that explains what each toy teaches.
The table and chair are sized to their height. For Year One (age 1 to 2) the chair seat is 17 cm high and the table is 36 cm, and the chair has arms so they can’t slide out. For Year Two (age 2 to 3) the seat is 21 cm and the table 40 cm, for Year Three (age 3 to 4) 26 cm and 46 cm, and from around 4½, or about 108 cm tall, 31 cm and 53 cm.
The chapter box is the one for their age, and the toys in every chapter are listed in the timeline below. If the chapter for their age is still in production, they start with the latest chapter that is ready and the rest follow in order.
For example, Year One Chapter 1: The Stacker has 6 toys: Grading Circular Tower, Stacking Shape Tower, Natural Stacking Cubes, Natural Shapes Cups, Wooden Shapes Strip and Toddlers Grading Shapes. It is in stock.
Every 3 Months After That
Three months after the first delivery, and every 3 months after that, the next chapter box arrives on the 1st of the month with its play guide. The membership is charged $149 on the 1st of the month every 3 months, or nothing more until the year is over if you paid $499 for the year upfront.
If the next chapter is still in production, it ships on the 1st of the month once it is ready. We tell you first, and you can pause until it is ready or get a refund for that payment.
When They Outgrow the Furniture
We size by height, not birthday. The next size is due at about 80, 93 and 108 cm tall, usually around 2, 3 and 4½. When the chair starts to look small, tell us from your account or by emailing info@edu-fun.com.au, and the next chair and new table legs come free in that quarter’s delivery, with their chapter box. The old chair and legs stay with your family.
After the Fourth Chapter of a Year
Each year has four chapters, one every 3 months. Three months after Chapter 4, Chapter 1 of the next year arrives on the 1st of the month, so Year One Chapter 4 is followed by Year Two Chapter 1. The membership carries on at $149 every 3 months and you do not need to sign up again. If you paid for a year upfront, you can carry on every 3 months or stop once the four prepaid chapters have arrived, and the table and chair are yours either way. After Year Four Chapter 4, around their fifth birthday, Chapters is complete.
The Bilingual Arabic Line
From age 3 you can add the bilingual Arabic line alongside their Chapters year. It has four chapters that teach Arabic letters, numbers and first words through play. Each Arabic chapter costs $99 every 3 months and arrives in the same box, on the same day, as their Chapters box. The $99 charge stops automatically after Arabic Chapter 4.
Ready to send now: Year One, Chapters 1 and 2; Year Two, Chapters 1 and 2; Year Three, Chapters 1 and 2; Year Four, Chapter 1; the bilingual Arabic line, Chapters 1, 2 and 3. The other 10 chapters are in production and follow as they are made. A chapter that is not ready yet ships on the 1st of the month once it is ready.
We make chapters in batches, and later chapters are finished as each batch is made. If a chapter isn’t ready on the 1st of the month it is due, we tell you first, and you can pause until it is ready or get a refund for that payment.

What exactly do I get for $149?
Every 3 months: a new chapter of solid-wood toys made by Edu Fun, chosen for your child's year, with a printed guide to what each one teaches. The toys are yours to keep. On top of that, a solid-wood table and chair at your child's height that are yours to keep, and while you're a member we send the next size whenever they grow. GST and delivery are included in the $149. Our prices are entered before GST, so your cart and checkout show $135.45 + GST, and GST is added at checkout to make $149. There's nothing else to pay.
Do I own the table and chair?
Yes. The table and chair are yours from the day they arrive, and so is every size we send as your child grows. They stay with you, even if you cancel.
How do new sizes work?
Tell us from your account when the chair starts to look small. We also check in around each size change: roughly 2, 3 and 4½, or about 80, 93 and 108 cm tall. We deliver the next chair and table legs to your door, anywhere in Australia, and you keep the old ones. New sizes are included in your membership.
Can I cancel after one chapter?
Yes. There's no minimum term. Your first box is charged when you order, and after that you are charged on the 1st of the month every 3 months. Cancel from your account, or by emailing info@edu-fun.com.au, before the 1st of the month your next chapter is due and nothing else is charged. The table, chair and toys you've received are yours to keep. We email you 3 days before every renewal, so there's time to skip, pause or cancel.
My child is 2½. Is Year Two still right?
Yes. Each year's toys are chosen for the whole year, and the four chapters step up as it goes. The furniture is sized to their height, not their birthday, so it fits regardless. If they've raced ahead, email us and we'll start them a year on.
What if a chapter isn't ready on my renewal date?
We make our toys in batches. If your next chapter isn’t ready on the 1st of the month it is due, we tell you first. It ships on the 1st of the month once it is ready, and you can pause until then or get a refund for that payment. The table and chair stay with you either way.
Do you have a bilingual Arabic line?
Yes. The bilingual Arabic line teaches Arabic letters, numbers and first words through play, for children from age 3. It has four chapters. Choose "Both" when you start and an Arabic chapter is added alongside their Chapters year for $99 every 3 months, in the same box on the same day. The table and chair are shared, and the $99 charge stops automatically after Arabic Chapter 4.
Can I pay for a year upfront?
Yes. $499 covers four chapters, one every 3 months, with the table and chair at their size and every new size, instead of $596 paid quarterly. That is $124.75 a chapter. It’s the same membership paid ahead. If you add the bilingual Arabic line, it is charged separately at $99 every 3 months until Arabic Chapter 4. After the year you can carry on or stop, and the table and chair are yours either way. We refund any prepaid chapter we haven’t sent.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes, as toys only, with your card in the box and no prices on the packing slip. The table and chair are sized to the child, so the family sets that up themselves. One Year One box is $99 and one box for Year Two to Year Four or the bilingual Arabic line is $109, or a box every 3 months is $89 for Year One and $99 for the others, including GST and delivery. Choose Give it as a gift, tell us their age, and pick one box or a box every 3 months. A gift arrives on the 1st of the month after you order.
Is there a members' discount?
Yes. Members get 15% off everything in the shop while their membership is active, taken off at checkout when you sign in with the email you joined with. It doesn't combine with other codes.
Do you do this for childcare centres?
Not yet. Chapters is for families at the moment; centres and kinders can still buy the same tables, chairs and toys outright. If you run a centre and want a membership for a room, email us and we'll let you know when it opens.
